The first batch of 20 Lada Granta cars in the basic Classic configuration and white color has been assembled on the third line of the AvtoVAZ main conveyor in Togliatti. This was reported by insiders.
The production of Lada Granta has been moved to the old line, where Lada Niva cars were previously assembled. This step is due to the need to free up the current conveyor line for the serial production of a new model — Lada Iskra.
However, the transition to the new line was accompanied by problems: insiders note that the build quality remains low so far. It is emphasized that these are temporary difficulties associated with the adaptation of equipment and personnel to the production of "Granta" on this line, and the quality should improve in the future.
The complete transfer of Lada Granta production to the new line with Lada Niva cars is scheduled for the first half of 2025. At the same time, the serial production of the Lada Iskra model will start.
