Russian Armed Forces personnel have begun using buggies on the chassis of Niva all-terrain vehicles to combat enemy drones. A video of the modified vehicle was shown by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
It is specified that the vehicles are in service with a separate air defense division of the "South" group. They guard the positions of the Buk air defense system.
The vehicles are characterized by good cross-country ability. They are armed with six paired Kalashnikov assault rifles. The buggies are equipped with remotely controlled launchers that hit aerial targets with buckshot.
