The Russian army has begun testing a self-propelled anti-drone machine. It is armed with a fire control system consisting of six AK-12 assault rifles.
Footage published online shows crews going to the front line and opening fire on enemy drones.
It is known that the AK-12's ammunition capacity is 30 rounds. If using short bursts, it will last for about 30 seconds, but in the case of a continuous burst, no more than 5. Then the operator will have to reload each rifle separately.
The concept is inexpensive and very attractive for daytime and favorable weather conditions. Moreover, this product provides counteraction to FPV drones with fiber optic control channels. Nevertheless, this installation is not capable of providing effective and fast interception of heavy hexacopters "free drop", performing drops of 82-mm mines from an echelon of about 1 km.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Indian interested in Russian Voronezh-DM radars: they will detect ballistic missiles and even stealth fighters.
