АвтоВАЗ отправил во Вьетнам девять моделей Lada для сертификации

The company is looking for new niches in the Asian market

AvtoVAZ has sent nine models of its cars to Vietnam to undergo certification and obtain all the necessary permits for sale in the market of this country. This was announced by the Russian trade representative Vyacheslav Kharinov.

Now our automotive giant AvtoVAZ is closely studying the Vietnamese market in terms of finding niches in it for its automotive products.

According to Kharinov, AvtoVAZ has already sent nine cars of different models in order for them to receive the necessary documents. Lada Granta, Lada Vesta, Niva Legend and Niva Travel are expected to arrive in the country in February.

Kharinov believes that the first results of AvtoVAZ's work in the Vietnamese market can be seen by the middle of next year.

The attitude of the AvtoVAZ concern, the steps it is taking here — registering a representative office, searching for potential partners and the technical work that is already underway, are encouraging. We hope that soon the products of the Russian automotive industry will be even more present in the Vietnamese market.

According to the trade representative, an analysis of consumer interest demonstrates that Russian cars are able to successfully compete with foreign counterparts in terms of quality, cost and adaptability to the difficult road conditions in which Vietnamese equipment operates.

He recalled that Russian SUVs are well suited for operation in mountainous and forested areas. For example, the well-known Niva cars perfectly cope with this task.

Kharinov emphasized that the products of the Russian automotive industry confidently occupy their niche in the Vietnamese market. Kamaz trucks have long and firmly established themselves in the country, and several years ago they launched the production of GAZ models there.

Now our automotive giant AvtoVAZ is closely studying the local market to find its niches in it.

As a successful example of Russian automakers entering the Vietnamese market, the trade representative cited the joint Russian-Vietnamese enterprise GAZ THANH DAT, established in 2019.

For five years now, GAZ products have been consistently and successfully consolidating their place in the Vietnamese market and developing exports of their products to the countries of the region.

One of the tasks is the mass production of the Lada Iskra model, which will start in the first half of the year. Among the planned changes is the launch of mass production of Niva Sport and the modernization of Lada Vesta.
