The Haval automobile plant began operating in the Uzlovsky district of the Tula region in the summer of 2019. Its production capacity is up to 150 thousand cars per year. The company produces several models under the Haval brand. The Russian plant carries out a full cycle of car production: from stamping to painting and assembly.

In March 2024, a plant for the production of engines for Haval cars was opened nearby. The company will be engaged in the production and assembly of engines for more than 90% of Haval cars produced in Russia. It was also announced the intention to create a research and development center.

Earlier it became known that the manufacturer of Haval crossovers plans to increase its presence on the Russian market. In 2025, the production of several Haval models will start at the "PSMA Rus" plant in Kaluga, where the Citroen C5 Aircross is already being assembled.
