Небесное господство: истребитель Су-30СМ2 получит двигатель, как на Су-57 и Су-35

With the new power plant, the aircraft will gain in rate of climb and turning radius

The Russian multirole fighter Su-30SM2 will receive a more powerful engine. Currently, these are installed on all Su-35s, as well as many fifth-generation Su-57 fighters. Soon they will also be installed on the "thirties."

With the new power plant, the aircraft will gain in turning radius, rate of climb, and engine life. Chief Designer of the Su-30 program, Oleg Pankov, noted that the aircraft will enter serial production with a new engine as early as next year. The first "thirties" with such an engine are currently undergoing testing.

The Su-30SM2 has significantly changed radar characteristics. Since there are long-range weapons, long-range detection and tracking are needed, as well as all modes that ensure the operation of these weapons. The detection range has been increased almost twofold compared to the Su-30SM, both for ground targets and for air or sea targets.

Work is also underway on a new stage of software that will be implemented in 2025. In particular, it is possible that detection of hypersonic and low-speed targets will appear.

However, the fight against hypersonic weapons is a task for the future, since the enemy does not yet have hypersonic targets, and the front needs new aircraft. Not sometime later, but here and now, and many.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the universal military armored vehicle KamAZ-43269 "Vystrel" has been modernized for modern combat conditions, it has received electronic warfare and protection against drones.
