The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant has planned to modernize the five-speed gearbox (manual transmission) on cars of the new "Patriot" model range. The changes are aimed at improving quality and eliminating oil leakage from the manual transmission through the upper cover of the gearshift mechanism.
An additional layer of sealant will be applied to the lower part of the gearshift mechanism, which will significantly increase tightness and prevent leaks.
Additional rings will be installed on the mechanism rod, providing better fixation of the cuff and increasing the reliability of the system.
A breather will be installed on the side cover of the manual transmission to relieve pressure, which will avoid the formation of excessive pressure inside the box. The modernization of cars will be carried out in the first quarter of 2025.
