Rosatom State Corporation has successfully completed the concreting of the foundations of key structures of the nuclear island of Leningrad NPP Unit 7. This was reported by the press service of the state corporation.
The first piece of large-sized equipment to arrive at the construction site of power unit No. 7 will be a melt localization device. This delivery is scheduled for the fall of next year, and the installation of the "trap" in the design position will begin at the same time. As for the most important equipment of the unit - the reactor, we will begin its installation in 2027.
Specialists have installed almost 6 thousand tons of reinforcement and laid 16 thousand cubic meters of concrete. A significant number of embedded parts and pipeline elements have also been installed.
By the end of December, the foundations of all buildings will be prepared for the transition to the phased construction of walls and installation of equipment. In total, construction and installation works on the seventh unit of the Leningrad NPP will last for five years.
