The first experimental train for the high-speed railway (HSR) Moscow - St. Petersburg will be delivered in late 2026 - early 2027. This was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov.
It is planned to produce about 30 trains for this line during 2028-2030.
Both the design bureau and the company itself (Sinara Group) have made significant progress. And we expect to ensure and implement this project in a timely manner.
The high-speed electric train will consist of eight cars with the possibility of connecting two trains. The maximum achievable speed of the locomotive is 400 km/h, and the operational speed is 360 km/h. Passengers will be offered 4 classes of service.
The head of Russian Railways, Oleg Belozerov, also reported that the train will be equipped with a children's room, a kitchen with a bar, and an entertainment multimedia system, which will make the trip comfortable and convenient for passengers.
Earlier,www1.ru reported that the train for the Moscow-St. Petersburg HSR, capable of accelerating to 400 km/h, was named "White Gyrfalcon".
