The Russian Navy has been supplemented by the small ship "Tucha" of project 22800 "Karakurt". This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The MRK "Tucha" was built at the Zelenodolsk Shipyard named after A.M. Gorky. On the eve of acceptance into the Navy, the ship's crew, together with the factory delivery team, completed state sea trials, which took place in the sea ranges of the Caspian Sea.
Small missile ships of project 22800 are multi-purpose missile and artillery ships of small displacement of the near sea zone of the Russian Navy.
These ships with a displacement of about 870 tons and a developed complex of weapons, including guided missiles of several types, will be able to operate independently or as part of ship groups, depending on the assigned combat tasks.
Ships of project 22800 are equipped with a universal complex for eight cells for "Caliber" and "Onyx" cruise missiles.
