The only detailed footage of live tests of the 10-13 Mach two-stage 77N6-N anti-missile of the S-500 Prometey anti-aircraft missile system has appeared online.
77N6-N anti-missiles are built according to the "lifting cone" scheme, they are capable of performing high-altitude endoatmospheric interception of hypersonic gliding warheads of the C-HGB American Dark Eagle complex and, probably, warheads of Trident-2D5 missiles at altitudes up to 55-60 km with speeds up to 7 km/s with timely target designation.
According to open sources, 77N6-N are equipped with exoatmospheric interceptors capable of intercepting ballistic targets in the upper layers of the mesosphere and above the Karman line at altitudes of 75-200 km. However, officially nothing is known about the development of exoatmospheric interceptors for the S-500.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian Aerospace Forces began to use ultra-long-range bombs with UMPB.
