Now Not Only with UMPC: Russian Aerospace Forces Begin Using Ultra-Long-Range Bombs with UMPB

Application range will significantly increase

The Russian defense industry is constantly improving aviation weapons. The Aerospace Forces units have begun to use aerial bombs not only with a unified planning and correction module (UMPC), but also ammunition with UMPB (universal planning and gliding module).

The latter, in addition to satellite guidance equipment, ailerons and wings, also have a jet engine with a fuel tank. This significantly increases the range of application.

This, in turn, makes it possible to use weapons at an even greater distance from the anti-aircraft missile systems deployed on the ground, thereby saving the aircraft carrying such weapons and its crew.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the first regiment in history with the S-500 Prometheus air defense system is completing its formation: a reliable shield of the Russian sky against ballistic missiles.
