The nuclear submarine "Arkhangelsk" (Project 885M "Yasen-M") and the nuclear-powered strategic missile submarine "Knyaz Pozharsky" (Project 955A "Borei-A"), built at the Sevmash plant in Severodvinsk, will soon join the Russian Navy, according to Navy Commander-in-Chief Alexander Moiseev.
In the near future, the Navy will receive the cruiser "Arkhangelsk". The nuclear submarine "Knyaz Pozharsky" is undergoing testing and will soon join the submarine forces of our Navy.
According to him, the construction of nuclear submarines is the main task of the enterprise. This is due to the need for Russia to obtain effective weapons, the carriers of which are considered to be nuclear submarines.
The submarine "Arkhangelsk" is currently being completed afloat. Its main weapons are the "Onyx" and "Bulava-PL" cruise missiles.
"Knyaz Pozharsky" is undergoing factory and state tests. The submarine will carry 16 intercontinental ballistic missiles "Bulava".
