To stop massive tank breakthroughs on the front line, the Russian military needs to use airborne radar reconnaissance assets. This was stated by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
According to him, the primary task in this is the timely disclosure of the deployment of enemy units into offensive formations at an operational depth of more than 50 km. Currently, operators of the S350M Supercam and ZALA 421-16E HD UAVs play a key role in performing this task.
But it would be helpful to supplement these UAV units with at least one strategic radar reconnaissance aircraft Tu-214R with a multi-band AESA radar MRK-411, or a squadron of Su-34M, equipped with containerized radar reconnaissance systems "Sych".
