The company "Russian Railways" (RZD) will establish the production of new freight rolling stock. The initiative will be implemented in cooperation with the Union of Car Builders, car-building enterprises, and Roszheldor. This was reported by the company's press service.
Currently, there are 5,787 new wagons at the factories. After completing registration, assigning a number and assignment, they will be able to enter the RZD network. The planning of their dispatch from the factories will be carried out on a daily basis. The release of 1339 wagons has been approved for tomorrow, December 20.
In 2025, about 70,000 new freight cars will be produced in Russia. The production is aimed at updating the rolling stock and improving the efficiency of freight transportation.
