After the opening of the first high-speed railway line (HSR-1) in Russia between Moscow and St. Petersburg, "Sapsan" trains will continue to operate. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Russian Railways holding (RZD), Ivan Kolesnikov.
"Sapsan" will definitely not be left without work. We have a huge country with a huge network. There are many directions where "Finist" and "Lastochka" electric trains are already operating at a speed of 160 km/h. A high-speed train in these directions will certainly be in demand.
It is worth noting that RZD also presented the "Sapsan" using domestic components. The composition has been adapted for use in Russia.
