In November 2024, the Russian SUV segment (crossovers and SUVs) showed a growth of 4% compared to November last year: sales increased from 76,834 to 79,984 cars, and the share of SUVs in the market reached 67%.
In 11 months of 2024, 993,897 new SUVs were sold in Russia, which is 58.5% more than in the same period of 2023, when 626,991 units were sold. Thus, the share of crossovers and SUVs in the market exceeded 69%.
The sales leader in the segment remains the Chinese crossover Haval Jolion, despite a 23% decrease in sales (5,599 cars against 7,268 a year earlier). In second and third places are Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max and Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, whose sales increased by 60% and 28%, respectively. The top five also included Russian models Lada Niva Legend and Lada Niva Travel, despite a decline in sales of 16% and 21.6%.
The most significant increase in sales among popular SUVs was shown by the Haval F7, increasing sales by 69% (from 1,672 to 2,825 cars). "Moskvich 3" also demonstrated notable success, taking ninth place in the ranking with a 40% increase in sales (from 1,707 to 2,381 units), which made it one of the leaders in sales growth in the SUV category.
