Russian Aerospace Forces Called for Equipping 48Ya6-K1 "Podlet-K1" Radar Stations to Detect Heavy A-22 UAVs and SCALP-EG Missiles

This is a priority task for medium-range air defense systems

To promptly detect low-altitude unmanned aerial vehicles based on A-22 light aircraft and to pre-deploy the required number of Tor-M2 and Pantsir-S1 air defense systems at firing positions, mixed anti-aircraft missile brigades of the Russian Aerospace Forces need to be equipped with 48Ya6-K1 "Podlet-K1" low-altitude detection radar stations.

The A-22 UAV can be equipped with a high-explosive fragmentation warhead weighing 150 kg, the power of which is close to the power of a FAB-250 aerial bomb.

Therefore, the priority of these objects for the calculations of the Tor-M2 and Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile systems of the Russian Aerospace Forces should be at the same high level as the priority of the R-360M Neptune-MD tactical cruise missiles and the low-observable SCALP-EG tactical missiles.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the latest Yarl body armor was handed over to Russian sappers, and the products passed all durability tests.
