В России зафиксирован рост облачных сервисов

Market Overview and Future Forecasts Presented by Analysts

The Russian market for cloud infrastructure services will grow to 165.6 billion rubles in 2024, which corresponds to an increase of 36.3% in rubles and 27% in US dollars, according to iKS-Consulting.

The main factor behind this growth is the increased demand for services related to artificial intelligence (AI). However, economic instability and a high key rate may slow down the development of the sector, experts believe.

Market Leaders

In the IaaS and PaaS (infrastructure/platform as a service) market in 2024, several major players stand out: Cloud.ru (28.9%), RTK-TsOD (16.9%), Yandex Cloud (11.4%), Selectel (6.7%) and MTS Web Services (6.5%). Cloud.ru took first place in the IaaS segment, increasing its share by 5.8 percentage points. The PaaS segment is also experiencing growth in the shares of companies, especially Cloud.ru and Yandex Cloud.

Growth Drivers

The demand for cloud solutions for AI has become a key growth factor in 2023-2024. Cloud technologies are actively used in retail, the financial sector, and other industries. It is projected that in the next four years, the market will grow 3.8 times, reaching 464 billion rubles.

Problems and Challenges

Despite the positive forecasts, the market faces a number of problems. Persistent distrust of cloud services, a shortage of qualified personnel, and economic instability may slow down growth. High prices for servers and difficult lending conditions also create obstacles for infrastructure development.

According to experts, the cloud services market in Russia demonstrates significant growth, but its further development will depend on solving economic and social problems. Large companies, such as "Sber" and RTK, occupy the main market share, while small and medium-sized players face major challenges.
