The Governor of the Murmansk Region, Andrey Chibis, proposed integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into the Unified State System for the Prevention and Liquidation of Emergency Situations (RSChS). This statement was made at a meeting dedicated to the results of the subsystem's work from the Northwestern Federal District.
The data analysis that artificial intelligence allows is sure to be in demand.
The Governor emphasized the importance of analytics and modern technologies for predicting actions in emergency situations. He admitted that the issue of such use of AI would be raised at the meeting of the State Council commission in December. Note that the State Council will be devoted to the development of the Northern Sea Route and the Arctic.
Chibis also proposed developing a legal mechanism allowing local authorities to prohibit going to sea in adverse weather conditions. This is especially true for the Murmansk region, where in the tourist Teriberka there are often restrictions on the departure of ships, but people violate the ban.
