Successful tests of the newest Sapphire grenade launcher system have been completed at the Borisovsky training ground in Belarus. The Ministry of Defense of the republic emphasized that the product confirmed all its declared characteristics.
The department noted that the Sapphire is designed to combat armored vehicles, destroy enemy manpower in light field shelters or bunkers, and rural or urban structures.
Sapphire has great potential for adaptation to combat modules, unmanned aerial vehicles, and robotic fire complexes due to the electronic launch control system and programmable detonating device.
Tactical and technical characteristics of the grenade launcher system:
- Caliber - 61 mm
- Sighting range - 500 m, maximum - 1000 m
- Warhead - multi-purpose: high-explosive flattening, fragmentation + cumulative, fragmentation
- Product length - 750 mm
- Weight - 4.5 kg
