Yandex Go, a taxi-hailing service owned by Russian technology giant Yandex, has begun operations in Turkey. The first launch point was the city of Antalya.
Antalya has become the first city in the country to launch the Yandex Go ride-hailing service. Currently, it operates in test mode in the Central and five largest districts of the city: Muratpaşa, Kepez, Konyaaltı, Döşemealtı, and Aksu.
Users can pay for their rides in cash or by credit card if the vehicle is equipped with a payment terminal. The application has been translated into several languages, including Turkish, Russian, and English, making it accessible to both locals and tourists.
Previously, a virtual queue appeared in the "Economy" tariff of the Yandex Go service. Now, users who want to use the service can find out how many people are already waiting for a car. This feature will help them decide whether to join the queue and wait their turn, choose a different tariff, or use public transport.
Yandex Go has also added price details to the application. Now, passengers can accurately understand what makes up the cost of each taxi ride. In addition, information will be provided on the size of the surge pricing coefficient applied during periods of high demand.
