BAS-200 unmanned helicopters will be able to accompany icebreakers. This was announced by a representative of the Russian Helicopters holding (part of Rostec) on the sidelines of the XIV International Forum "Arctic: Today and the Future".
According to him, BAS-200 have been tested in the Arctic Circle. The complexes performed flights with equipment for aerogravimetric and aeromagnetic surveys, and also took off from the deck of ships. The holding believes that unmanned helicopters will help in the work of the icebreaker fleet.
Their tasks may include:
- cargo transportation
