The Railway Research Institute (VNIIZhT) has begun testing the ES105 "Finist" electric train. Specialists will check the braking pneumatic system and the impact on the track and turnouts at speeds up to 160 km/h.
The tests are taking place at the Belorechenskaya – Maykop test site and will last until March 2025.
After completing testing at the high-speed test site, the train will be sent to the Experimental Ring in Shcherbinka. There, it will be tested in various operating modes and power consumption. The microclimate and heating systems will also be studied, and the operation of the traction equipment will be checked when switching power from direct to alternating current.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the acceptance of the new eight-car ES104 "Finist" electric train has been completed.
