ЗРК «Тор-М2» оказался способен перехватывать снаряды чешской РСЗО RM-70 «Vampire»: нашли управу на вурдалака

Acquires targets at a distance of up to 10 km

The Russian military anti-aircraft missile system "Tor-M2" has added to the list of intercepted targets not only UAVs and 300-mm guided missiles "Olha-M", but also 9M22U rockets of "Grad" systems and Czech JROF-M HEF systems RM-70 "Vampire".

These rockets have an RCS of about 0.04 sq. m and a speed in the terminal section of the trajectory of 450 - 310 m/s, depending on the range of fire.

The small-element PFAR guidance radar "Tor-M2U" is capable of capturing these targets on automatic tracking at a distance of 8-10 km, which became possible due to an increase in the sensitivity of the receiving path and the introduction of new algorithms for primary processing of the radar signal.

An important role was played by the integration of new 9M338K SAMs with improved radar fuses, optimized for initiation at targets with ultra-small RCS, into the complex's ammunition load.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the acceleration of the Su-57M fighter from 600 to 1100 km/h is reduced to 8.5 seconds thanks to the upgraded engine .
