Footage has emerged of the ammunition and ammunition supply system of the automatic grenade launcher AG-17, integrated into the B05YA01 "Berezhok" combat module of the BMP-2M infantry fighting vehicle. The presence of four TPKs with 9M133-1/FM-3 "Kornet" ATGMs in the "Berezhok" equipment turns the BMP-2M into a priority target for enemy anti-tank units.
The AG-17 can be used for fire counteraction against enemy grenade launcher groups equipped with AT4, M72 LAW grenade launchers, as well as NLAW ATGMs approaching at a distance of less than 2100 m. The enemy can be engaged with VOGs-17 from closed positions.
At the same time, Javelin ATGM crews may remain outside the effective fire zone of the AG-17. To protect against them, the BMP-2M ATGMs must be covered by Arena-M active protection systems with the elevation scanning sector of the upper hemisphere increased to 75 degrees by guidance radars for interceptors.
