Russia has reached an agreement with North Korea to send MiG-29 and Su-27 fighters, said Head of the US Indo-Pacific Command Samuel Paparo during his speech at the Reagan National Defense Forum. This was reported by the Eurasian Times.
According to Paparo, Russia will supply North Korea with "formidable fourth-generation fighters." However, he did not specify the number of aircraft Pyongyang will receive.
North Korea is likely hoping to receive more than just aircraft. Paparo believes that Pyongyang may be eyeing advanced military technologies, including ballistic missile warheads, modern submarines, and upgraded air defense systems.
The Eurasian Times emphasized that receiving these weapons would strengthen North Korea's position in the region.
