Specialists from Tomsk and Sverdlovsk Regions Will Work on the Project, Which Is Important for Technological Sovereignty

A new educational research center for solid-state microwave electronics will appear in Tomsk. This became known following a visit to Tomsk by a delegation from the Sverdlovsk Region.

According to the regional NIA Tomsk, citing the Tomsk Region administration, Tomsk's AO NPF "Mikran" and AO "NIIPP", representatives of Tomsk's TUSUR, and AO "UPKB "Detal" from the Sverdlovsk Region will work together on the project.

Samples of solid-state microwave electronics can be found in a number of electronic devices. In particular, in radar for air traffic control, in satellite construction and satellite communications, and in cellular communication systems.

Base stations 4G and 5G under the patronage of the developer "Irtey", which belongs to the MTS telecom operator, a member of the "Mikran" project, by the way, is already engaged. Mikran also produces its own telecommunication systems, microwave microelectronics, microwave modules, measuring and radar systems.

Earlier it became known that insurance premiums will be reduced for Russian manufacturers of machine tools for the electronic base.
