Мировые лидеры: Ростех готовит к выпуску новые боеприпасы, прицелы, системы управления и связи для работы на поле боя

The famous wheeled howitzers "Malva" may have "relatives"

The Rostec State Corporation is reaching a global leadership level in the production of ammunition of various types, and it is not stopping there. This was stated in an interview with the newspaper of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation "Krasnaya Zvezda" by Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of the Armaments, Ammunition and Special Chemistry Cluster of the State Corporation.

Perhaps no country in the world produces ammunition in such quantities. Compared to 2022, in 2023 our ammunition production increased tenfold, artillery rounds - more than sixfold, tank rounds - more than 30 times, close combat weapons - 14 times, rockets for MLRS and TOS - more than sixfold. It is already obvious today that these figures will be higher by the end of this year, and in 2025 their significant growth will continue.

I would add that our specialists are working on the range, accuracy, mobility, protection, and multifunctionality of cannons, howitzers, and mortars. We are creating new ammunition, sights, new control and communication systems for integrating batteries into information circuits. One example of this work is the "Malva" wheeled howitzers, capable of hitting targets at distances of several tens of kilometers. A modern gun and ammunition, as well as the latest fire control system, provide these howitzers with high combat effectiveness.

Earlier in late November, the head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, noted that Russia is reducing the volume of exports of weapons and military equipment in 2024, as the priority is primarily to meet its own needs for weapons. At the same time, the deferred demand for the products of the Russian military-industrial complex is growing - Rosoboronexport already has orders and contracts worth about $55 billion.
