The Russian loitering munition "Lancet-3" has surpassed its American competitor, the Switchblade-600, in all characteristics. This was pointed out by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
He noted that the "Lancet" is almost twice as good in terms of combat range, 70 km versus 40 km respectively, due to the larger capacity of the built-in battery.
Thanks to the high aerodynamic quality of the airframe with an X-shaped tail, the "Lancet" can be equipped with a much wider range of equipment. For example, from cumulative and high-explosive fragmentation warheads to means of electronic, magnetometric, and gasometric reconnaissance.
In addition, magnetometric and gasometric reconnaissance sensors are capable of identifying a large number of ground vehicles hiding in a wooded landscape, thanks to anomalies in the magnetic field above the square, as well as an increase in the concentration of CO and other gases during the operation of the vehicles' power plants.
