Russian military called the captured heavy drone «Baba Yaga» «Aunt Vera» after the modernization. They used FPV drones as a replacement for standard engines.
The uniqueness of «Aunt Vera» is in four FPV drones on four beams with four engines, under their simultaneous control. «Baba Yaga» was deliberately hunted, and in one of the combat sorties, UAV operators managed to shoot down the screws of «Baba Yaga» with the help of a DJI mavic drone. As a result, the heavy drone was obtained almost undamaged.
This quadcopter will be used in three types – 1st will be used for the delivery of ammunition and provisions, 2nd type will be used for mining the area, as well as the delivery of ammunition, such as an anti-tank mine, and the third – as a repeater and deliverer of FPV drones to enemy positions.
The carrying capacity of «Aunt Vera» is up to 20 kg, it is capable of carrying from 4 to 6 FPV drones at a distance of 15 to 20 km. The drone has increased noiselessness, and due to lower heat dissipation, it is inconspicuous to the thermal imager.
