US Rules Out Similarity Between Latest Tsirkon and American X-51 Waverider Missile

TWZ: American X-51 Waverider missile does not resemble Tsirkon

The Russian hypersonic missile Tsirkon has no external resemblance to the experimental American X-51 Waverider missile. This conclusion was reached by journalists from TWZ.

They recalled the origin of Tsirkon from the Onyx supersonic cruise missile, which was discussed in the West back in 2020 due to the fact that both missiles can be launched from the 3C14 shipborne launcher.

After the recent appearance online of a video about the training of the Russian Navy and Air Force in the Mediterranean Sea, TWZ finally ruled out the similarity between Tsirkon and the experimental American X-51 Waverider missile.

The image of the latter had previously been used in a number of media outlets to illustrate the likely appearance of the Russian missile.

Earlier www1.ru reported that American M777A2 became an easy target for the Msta-S howitzer with Krasnopol-M2.
