US military analysts have compared the chances in a hypothetical air combat between the Russian Su-35S fighter and the American F-16. Experts from 19FortyFive noted that the Su-35S surpasses the F-16 in a number of indicators.
According to them, the Russian fighter has a speed of up to 2500 km/h and a long flight range, as well as engines with controlled thrust vector for better maneuverability. In addition to this, there are longer-range Russian air-to-air missiles.
The F-16, in turn, is distinguished by a high degree of pilot awareness, as well as a good thrust-to-weight ratio and flight performance, with a speed of up to 2400 km/h. The F-16 weighs less than the Su-35, but the Russian model has a longer flight range and can carry more weapons. At the same time, the F-16 has a more advanced radar system that can quickly detect the Su-35S.
In addition, the Su-35 has two engines, while the F-16 has one. This means that if one of them fails during combat, the Russian pilot will be able to continue the mission.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the latest drones with thermobaric shells have appeared on the front line.
