The configurations of the Chery Tiggo 9 crossover, which will soon appear in Russia, have become known. The new model will be available in two versions: Prime and Ultra.
It is noteworthy that the equipment list specifically highlights about 15 options. It is specified that these items were previously unavailable for models in the Tiggo line.
Prime
The standard Tiggo 9 configuration includes the Prime package. This is probably what the brand representative meant when he said that the car's cost starts from 4,190,000 rubles.
Even in the basic version, the crossover has features such as light and rain sensors, fully LED headlights, black eco-leather seat trim, and six airbags. In addition, the car is equipped with a set of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) intelligent systems, a panoramic roof with a sunroof, a full-size spare wheel, and a hands-free trunk opening function.
The car is equipped with dual-zone climate control, all-round cameras with a "transparent hood" function, front and rear parking sensors, atmospheric lighting, electric drive, keyless entry system, and engine start button.
The basic Tiggo configuration includes a full winter package, wireless charging, memory and ventilation function for the front seats, an audio system with 8 speakers, and the Chery Connect telematics system.
In addition, new features are available in this version: the ability to disable the front passenger airbag, black headliner trim, and second-row seats with four-way power adjustments.
Ultra
The Tiggo 9 configuration called Ultra includes many innovative features that were previously unavailable in Tiggo models. Among them:
- Side parking sensors;
- Seats upholstered in natural brown leather;
- 10 airbags, including central, side for second-row passengers, and knee for the driver.
Other innovative solutions include a system that warns the driver of their fatigue, an audio system with fourteen speakers, and a massage function for the front seats. The car also has a ventilation system for the second-row seats.
In Russia, another model, the Tiggo 8L, will be sold under the name Tiggo 9. This car is also based on the T2X modular architecture.
The dimensions of the Tiggo 8L are as follows: length — 4810 mm, width — 1925 mm, height — 1741 mm. The wheelbase reaches 2800 mm. The car's interior can accommodate seven passengers, and its layout is arranged according to the 2+3+2 scheme.
The Tiggo 9 is equipped with a two-liter gasoline engine that develops a power of 249 horsepower and a torque of 375 Nm. An eight-speed automatic transmission is used as the transmission.
On the Russian market, the Tiggo 9 will be presented exclusively with the Torque-on-Demand all-wheel drive system. This car is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in just 8.5 seconds. The average fuel consumption is 8.1 liters per 100 kilometers.
As a reminder, the car's production has started at the factory in Qingdao. The company emphasized that the quality and level of automation of the production of cars manufactured at the main Chery Group plant were highly appreciated. At the final stage of the inspection, a test drive of the finished car is carried out, during which engineers check the operation of the hubs, wheels, headlights, suspension elements, and other components.
Earlier, Chery announced that owners of the new flagship Tiggo 9 crossover in Russia will be able to update the software of their car without visiting a service center, using Over-the-Air (OTA) technology. This will allow you to keep the on-board systems up to date, including the voice assistant, without any extra hassle.
