A new training course for operators of unmanned boats (BEC) has been included in the combat training program of the Russian Navy personnel. It consists of practical and theoretical classes.
Some of the activities will be held at night, the source in the Ministry of Defense noted.
Military expert Vasily Dandykin said that the BEC operator is like a ship commander, only he controls a crewless floating craft.
With the help of such drones, we can destroy ships and port infrastructure. BECs can perform reconnaissance functions, be equipped with strike weapons and air defense systems. They will play an important role.
