The president of "AvtoVAZ", Maxim Sokolov, announced that the production of the LADA Iskra model has already begun in test mode. Every day, several cars roll off the assembly line of the plant, intended for debugging assembly, welding and painting processes. According to Sokolov, this is an important stage in preparation for the launch of mass production, which is scheduled for the first half of 2025.
The head of the company clarified that the official production of the model has not yet started, but the LADA Iskra itself is already "living its own life" as part of test assemblies. Sokolov also confirmed that the start of sales of LADA Iskra will take place 1.5–3 months after the start of mass production. Thus, buyers will be able to purchase the car in the second half of 2025.
Insiders have published photos of one of the first test copies of LADA Iskra, assembled in the building of the Scientific and Technical Center of "AvtoVAZ".
