In November, Russia sold 29% fewer new passenger cars than in October. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, 120,000 cars were sold in a month, which is 11% more than in the same period last year.

The light commercial vehicle (LCV) sector saw a 12% decrease in sales during the month and a 28% increase year-on-year. Last month, 14,200 units of such vehicles were sold in Russia.

In November, 9,000 trucks were sold in Russia, which is 25% less than last year and 31% less than in the previous month.

In annual terms, sales of new cars increased by 7%, but compared to October 2024, they decreased by 27% and amounted to 145,000 units.

Earlier, AvtoVAZ published sales statistics. In the first eleven months of 2024, 417,400 Lada passenger and commercial vehicles were sold in Russia. This result is 30.6% higher than the figures for the same period last year.

At the same time, in November, after the increase in the recycling fee, the number of electronic passports issued for vehicles that were put into circulation in Russia halved compared to October. According to experts, the situation in the car market will only worsen.
