Russia has begun preparing a project model to create a center for the development of high-power, low-speed marine engines. This initiative is funded under the national project "Industrial Support for Transport Mobility," according to Vasily Osmakov, First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
The national project for technological leadership, "Transport Mobility," provides funding for this event. The money has been allocated, and the project model is currently being prepared. It is too early to talk about specific control points.
The Sinara Group has confirmed its participation in the creation of this center. It was noted that the project will require significant investments, which could amount to hundreds of billions of rubles. The development is aimed at strengthening Russia's position in the field of shipbuilding and increasing the competitiveness of domestic products in the international arena.
