Tver Carriage Works (TVZ, part of JSC "TMH") has received certificates of compliance for the advanced double-deck carriage model 61-4492 and passenger carriage bogie model 68-4120. These carriages will be part of the new "Aurora" branded train. This was reported by the press service of the enterprise.
Model 61-4492 was developed with an emphasis on passenger comfort and safety. Only Russian materials are used in the production of components for carriages. Mechanically separated information highways were used in the design to ensure reliable operation of all systems.
The new carriages will be equipped with a sealed inter-carriage passage, entrance steps with folding ramps, and high-capacity batteries. Inside, passengers will find luggage racks, touch-screen monitors and individual sockets.
In total, TVZ will manufacture 25 carriages of model 61-4492.02 in 2024 (5 - 1st class and 20 - 2nd class).
In addition to them, the train will also include compartment carriages mod. 61-4465 with sleeping places (SV), a staff carriage with places for passengers with disabilities model 61-4472 and a restaurant carriage model 61-4473. Two trains of 15 carriages each will be formed from them, the total capacity of each train is 1240 seats.
It is expected that the "Aurora"will start its trips in December 2024. The train will run between Moscow and St. Petersburg
