AvtoVAZ has successfully passed another audit and confirmed compliance with the international standard ISO 14001. Audit specialists gave a high assessment to the actions aimed at optimizing energy use: the transition from mercury lamps to LED lamps and the replacement of roofing in production facilities with a more efficient one in terms of reducing heat loss.
Representatives of Intercertifica LLC noted the high level of production culture and the constant desire to improve production and logistics processes in order to reduce their impact on the environment.
To improve the efficiency of air purification in the workshops where cast iron casting and forging are produced, four wet scrubbers installed in ventilation systems were replaced.
In 2024, the plant carried out work to replace 152 sovtol transformers with more environmentally friendly models. A special area was created for the temporary storage of dismantled transformers.
As a result of the inspection, it was found that the AvtoVAZ enterprise meets all environmental standards. This made it possible to extend the validity of previously issued certificates until 2026.
Earlier, information appeared that AvtoVAZ intends to carry out large-scale changes in its production. In particular, the production of Lada Granta sedans will be transferred to the line where Lada Niva cars were previously assembled.
Also, in the next six years, the company plans to increase the annual production volume of cars to 700 thousand or more.
