Some T-90M "Proryv" tanks of the 2023 model lack bore sight correctors (UUIS) UUI-1. This is an important element for increasing combat accuracy, noted military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
He noted that with a reflecting mirror on the muzzle and an optoelectronic transmitting-receiving module on the gun mantlet, the UUI-1 provided measurement of the degree of deformation of the bore and gun under the influence of high-temperature powder gases on firing.
After that, corrections were loaded into the ballistic computer, eliminating the reduction in shooting accuracy and grouping of fire both from a stationary position and on the move.
UUI-1 is of key importance in a full-fledged high-intensity tank battle at a distance of 3500-2000 m with machines such as Leopard-2A6 or M1A1SA, which in exercises demonstrated hitting 5 out of 5 targets of a conditional enemy at distances up to 2000 m and achieved hits with the first shots using DM53A and M829A3 kinetic projectiles.
