Rare footage of the night combat use of the hypersonic long-range anti-aircraft guided missile 9M82MD/MV of the world's most advanced military S-300V4 SAM system has appeared online.
On the cruise section of the ballistic trajectory, an object with an RCS of about 0.7 - 1 m² can be detected by the multifunctional missile guidance station (MSNR) 9S32M4 at a distance of about 270 km. Interception is carried out at a distance of 60-45 km and in the altitude range from 17-35 km.
The S-300V4 system is capable of intercepting hypersonic targets on a par with Buk-M3, S-300PM1, S-350A Vityaz, early S-300V, S-400, S-500 Prometheus, as well as the modernized Pantsir-SM SAM system. For the S-300V4, this figure reaches 4800 m/s.
