The range for detecting positions of 155-mm barrel artillery may increase from 25 to 45 km

Unique high-energy counter-battery "Yastreb-AV" radars are being developed in Tula. They are a continuation of the already well-known and proven line of "Zoopark-1M" counter-battery radar systems based on passive phased array antennas.

Thanks to more advanced primary processing algorithms, the "Yastreb-AV" radars will have minimal loss of detection range of firing positions of barrel and rocket artillery, even in complex jamming environments.

Unlike the "Zoopark-1M" radar, the "Yastreb-AV" received a more powerful microwave klystron/magnetron and a much larger antenna array aperture, which significantly increased the effective range.

In particular, the estimated range for detecting positions of 155-mm barrel artillery may increase from 20 - 25 to 45 km, multiple launch rocket systems such as HIMARS and "Olha-M" - from 35 - 40 to 70-80 km, and ATACMS operational-tactical missiles - up to 95-100 km.

These parameters not only correspond to the western counter-battery radars SAAB ARTHUR-С and "Cobra", but also partially surpass them. In particular, the throughput of the "Yastreb-AV" can exceed 100 targets per minute, while the "Cobra" radar reaches 20 targets per minute.
