Russian multi-functional Su-30SM1/2 and Su-35S fighters need to be equipped with containerized multispectral optoelectronic systems featuring CMOS/CCD sensors and short/mid-wave IR sensors.
They will provide optical magnification of at least 60x and classification of tank-type targets in favorable weather conditions during the day at a distance of up to 45 - 50 km and at night — 20-25 km, said military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
A similar containerized system with the index T220/E was developed in 2015 by specialists from JSC "Scientific and Production Corporation "Precision Instrument Systems".
