Russia Develops New Robot Controller Powered by Wind Turbine

It will be tested on deserted Kamchatka beaches in 2025

The new product from Lomonosov Moscow State University was presented at the IV Congress of Young Scientists in Sirius.

According to IA "TASS", Anton Rogachev, leading engineer of the Laboratory of General Mechanics of the Research Institute of Mechanics of Lomonosov Moscow State University, the robot is charged by a vertical axis wind generator, the so-called Savonius wind turbine.

We have created a wind generator whose operating parameters are designed specifically for robotic systems, and a charging system. Such an autonomous platform, which is small in size, is suitable for robots that need to be charged without human intervention. These can be monitoring systems for remote areas.

The robot with the new charging system will be tested in Kamchatka in 2025. It will be responsible for monitoring beaches.
