Approximate characteristics of the newest Russian ballistic hypersonic medium-range missile "Oreshnik" have appeared online. Its existence was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on the evening of November 21.
During the broadcast, he noted that a test of one of the newest Russian medium-range missile systems was conducted in combat conditions.
Previously, many military analysts assumed that the unusual missile launched earlier by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation was called "Rubezh", but the President of the country dispelled the guesses in his evening message, announcing that it was called "Oreshnik".
The Telegram channel «Militarist» provided the characteristics of the missile.
Characteristics of the "Oreshnik" MRBM:
- Minimum flight range — 500-800 km
- Maximum range — up to 5000 km
- Flight speed — 10-15 Mach, about 2-3 km/s
- Six warheads with nuclear and non-nuclear equipment
- ABM penetration complex
