Footage of a structural element of a liquid-propellant rocket engine of an intercontinental ballistic missile, presumably used by the Russian army, has gone viral on the Web.
According to known information, the main modification 15Zh67 "Rubezh" is equipped with high-impulse solid-propellant rocket engines. Consequently, the type of ICBM used continues to remain definitively unspecified.
According to information from open sources, RS-26 "Rubezh" is a strategic missile system equipped with an intercontinental ballistic missile, an ICBM with a multiple independently targetable reentry vehicle and advanced combat equipment.
It is believed that the RS-26 "Rubezh" was created on the basis of two stages of the Topol-M missile system. The same approach was implemented for the older RSD-10 Pioneer medium-range missile.
