ОСК передала заказчику два катамарана — «Сарма» и «Селенга»

New vessels consume 40% less fuel and carry 8% more payload

The United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) has completed the construction of two high-speed passenger vessels of the HSC150B project — "Sarma" and "Selenga". The catamarans were handed over to the customer on November 14, 2024, according to the company's press service.

Both models are designed for passenger transportation on rivers and lakes. The catamarans feature a wave-piercing hull, a load-relieving foil system, and a single-deck superstructure.

The HSC150B project vessels are distinguished by their ability to operate in shallower waters.

The catamaran consumes 40% less fuel and carries 8% more payload. The shallow draft and the special design of the foil system significantly expand the geography of passenger transportation and allow for safe boarding and disembarkation of passengers on an undeveloped shore.

  • Main engine power — 2x1440 kW.
