More than 600 cars of this brand were purchased in October

In October 2024, 1,349 new electric vehicles were sold in Russia, which is 21% less compared to the same period last year. This refers to cars that were first registered in the Russian Federation and are up to three years old.

Among the electric vehicles presented on the Russian market, the products of the Chinese brand Zeekr are in the greatest demand among Russians. In October, 604 cars of this brand were sold.

In second place in terms of popularity is "Moskvich". Over the month, 196 copies of electric vehicles of this brand were purchased in Russia.

The third place in the ranking was taken by the Chinese brand ORA, which sold 74 cars. Avatr and Volkswagen, which sold 51 and 38 cars, respectively, were also in the top five.

Interestingly, the Russian brand Evolute was not among the leaders, although it had previously consistently held leading positions.

According to the results of ten months, from January to October, 15,310 new electric vehicles were sold in Russia. This is 46% more than in the same period last year.

It is noteworthy that by the end of 2024, Russia plans to produce 17.5 thousand electric vehicles. Last year, the production of electric vehicles amounted to just over 9,700 units, and the growth in production for this year reached almost 80%.

Earlier in Moscow, the zero transport tax for electric vehicles was extended. The mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, noted that the use of environmentally friendly vehicles is extremely important, since cars are the cause of more than 80% of air pollution in the city.
