The team behind the popular 2GIS map and directory service has introduced a useful update for iPhone users. The developers have added support for quick commands for the new version of iOS with Apple Intelligence. Now, on iPhone, you can easily launch a route home or to work, view the location of friends on the map, activate the navigator, and use other geo-service functions with a single tap.
These quick actions can be configured in the "Commands" app on iOS version 18.1. In addition, users can create compound commands that include multiple actions, saving time. For example, the "Home", "To Work", or "Route to Place" commands automatically build a route from the current location to home, work, or a selected point.
In the "Route to Place" command, you can specify the preferred mode of transport (car, public transport, scooter, etc.) to avoid wasting time choosing a vehicle each time. In other commands, the route will be automatically built based on the mode of transport that was last selected in the application.
The "Navigator" command activates navigation mode without building a route, but with alerts about cameras, and the "Road Event" command allows you to quickly add information about an accident or road closure to the map. Also, the "Friends on Map" command will show where loved ones are.
In addition, these commands can also be used in the car via the CarPlay system. To do this, simply press the voice control button on the steering wheel or say "Hey Siri", saying a phrase like "Home in 2GIS" or "To Work in 2GIS", and guidance along the selected route will begin on the car's multimedia screen.
2GIS commands can also be combined with commands from other applications. For example, when you launch the "To Work" command, you can simultaneously turn on the vacuum cleaner in the "Smart Home", and by combining the "Home" command with a messenger, you can send a message that you have left for home.
